I was nervous when I went to Tahunanii for the Weet-bix Kids Tryathlon. When my age group started I was really nervous!
Where's my bike? There it is! I was really fast on my bike because I practised for at least a week. I was really tired when I had finished my second lap.
Then when I was running I was really puffed. Yay, I thought, I'm nearly there and there is water at the end. When I finished my run I was given a medal. I couldn't see my Mum and Dad but they were there.
"I'm puffed," I said.
Mum said, "I bet you are."
I asked "Where do I go now mum?"
"Over there," she said.
"OK, see you soon."
I hoped I'd get a drink bottle and a good photo with my medal. There were spot prizes and Stoke School was in the draw to win a thirty thousand dollar playground. We got a photo with weet-bix man and he gave me a high five, it was cool. Next year I am going to do it again.

Lots of good information Talia. It is easy to read. I like your speech marks too.
