Blogging Guidelines for Room 11 students:
- Blog posts should reflect the best of you - blogs can be viewed by the whole world (RESPECT / RESPONSIBLE / SAFETY).
- Only use the first names of people in your writing (or only the last names of teachers).
- Keep personal information private (eg, phone numbers or addresses).
- Report any inappropriate comments or images to a teacher straight away.
- Always ask permission before posting a photo of someone else.
The Writing Guidelines for Room 11 students:
Write for the reader's understanding!!!
- Proofread your draft to make sure it makes sense before publishing.
- Proofread your draft for spelling and correct any mistakes before publishing.

- Conference with a buddy to check your draft makes sense before publishing.

- The first letter of each word in the title begins with a capital letter.
- Write using full sentences and words.
- Type 2 spaces after a full stop.
- Proper nouns begin with a capital letter.
- Use capital letters to begin and full stops to finish sentences.
- Organise your writing in paragraphs (a main idea and supporting details)
- Choose 1-3 main ideas (1-3 paragraphs) that inspire you.
- Choose vivid details to support each main idea.
- Choose precise vocabulary to make your meaning clear (eg, the pizza was delicious is more precise than the pizza was good).
- Choose expressive language for the reader to enjoy (eg, similes, hyperbole, alliteration, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia etc but only a little - don't overdo it).
- Choose appropriate images to support your writing.
