People Were Getting Bloody

Bump, Bump, Bump! Getting over and around the obstickles that Constbell Garlin set up was hard at first but after a couple of times I got the hang of it.

One you hat to turn very sharpley in the shape of an S. Another one was we went over a seasaw you hat to put a lot of efort into it toget up onto it and then you hat to standed up on the pedle to get off safley. With some of the obstickles you needed to change gear. Before we started the obstickles Constbil Garlin said changeing gear will help you to do a lot of obstickles.

All of Cycle Safety was split up to three days. We had day 1 was baskie (basically) learning, day to 2 was getting a little harder and day 3 got very hard. People were getting blode (bloody) every wear and fourling (falling) off there bike (I know I did a couple of time!!!)

This is a writing test. Students were given 45 minutes to plan and draft a story recounting the best, or worst, thing that happened to them during Cycle Safety. The stories are assessed as 'draft writing' for how well they have been written for 'readers' understanding' and 'readers' interest'.

Readers' Understanding:

1. Grammar (making sense).
2. Accurate spelling.
3. Accurate punctuation
4. Background information (making sense).

Readers' Interest:

1. Writes about one main idea in detail at a time.
2. Uses descriptive language.
3. Uses language features (expressive language).
4. Uses personal comments.

Not Here At Stoke School

Every once and awhile Stoke School gets graffitied.

All the students, staff and and the students family's are getting annoyed by it. It is the caretakers job to clean it up. Here is a couple of things that grafting does to your school.

Graffiti makes your school look bad and it puts a bad feeling into your heart. It is a big and hard thing to clean up and it is just a bad thing to have at your school.

It makes me sad to see it at my school. The people who do that well they are just very silly people!!

This is not at my school but it is an example of what grafitti looks like!

Fun and Learning

St John competition camp is so much fun. You stay for two nights, on the first night it is all about meeting your cabin buddies. At night time every meets at the Tea Pot Valley hall. This is a big talk about is going to be going on thought out the camp. The leaders talk to you about the rules at camp and if you brake them you will have to follow the consequences.=(

Last year my team won a trophy all together, it was for drill, drill is a format of marching. Every team has to learn a different drill format. The team performs them drill format to a leader and then the leader makes up a format for drill that we haven't practised.

Two years a go me and my team partner Daniel won a medal and a trophy. It was for a first aid course. We hat to help some injured people that had, had a car crush. It was hard and easy at the same time.

I love going to the St John camps. It is only held once a year so all year long we practise for a big thing.

Easter Is Here!

Easter is here!

Getting up on Easter morning is easy for my family because my two year old sister Jemma wakes up early and finds all the Easter egg and bangs me on the head with them. All we do on Easter morning is get up and and get the eggs and turn on the t.v and watch t.v and eat our Easter eggs.

Mum and Dad make us a deal it is that we have to share the treats or they will tell the Easter bunny not to come to our house. Because I am the oldest I useally share and because I am not a big fan of chocolate unlike the rest of my family!

A Lot of Animals

My Family has got a lot of animals, I have one, my Nana has 2 and my Nana and Poppa have a farm so they have a lot!

I have got a dog named Max he is a bit and friendly dog he love to play with his toys. Max and I love to play catch. I thought the ball and and Max try's to catch it. Max hates having baths and he hates getting wet he likes to swim but he is not the best swimmer.

My Nanas dogs names are Riley and Tana. Riley is 8 weeks old and he loves to play with his toys! When he wakes up he has a lot of energy. He likes to play with his big brother Tana. Tana is 11 and he is a great dog.Nana loves to get out of the house so Nana also dose obdenes with him. Tana has won a lot of ribbons =).

Every 3rd year my family goes up north to my Nana and Poppas farm. Poppa has a lot of animals He has Pigs, Chickens, Cows, Sheep ,House and Meany more! I love riding Poppas horse and helping Nana feeding her Chickens and helping Poppa feeding the pigs. Me and my cosines love feeding all the animals and finding peacock feathers.

I LOVE speeding time with all my family's animals!!!

OMG, my Nana has a DROP DIED GORGEOUS!!! Nana has named him Riley. Riley has lots and lots of likes and dislikes.

Riley loves his tummy being robed and he loves to go for a morning run around in Nana's garden, Nana has a big backyard and and my sister Ashley and my other sister Jemma every Sunday go up o my Nanas . I love going up to my Nana  because I love Spending time with with Riley because he is just the is the cutest puppy on this planet!

Me And My Friends

I have a lot of friends! There names are Olivia, Nikayla, Laita, Talia Anna, Juila and Carina. Every week morning we all useally soccer with the boys. The boys are a lot better at soccer then us so we try to get the ball of them. Me and Nikayla like to go for bike rides together. Nikayla and I just go around the block but that is ok. Taila and Latia are twins so it is hard to tell them apart!!! We like to play soccer in the morning. Me and Olivia and been friends for a long time. Some times my family comes down to the school to the some sort of sport or game and Olivia aways comes or she trys to. Me and  Carina do St.Johns together. Anna and I play sporttogether and Julia   comes down to the school and we also play sport.

Music With My Family!

Music is a big part of my family. We all play instruments! My Dad plays the Guitar and Drums and so do I. My Mum is learning how to play the drums and she knows two or three chords on the guitar. Ashley my 7 year old sister has started to play the guitar. We have two ukuleles that my two year sister likes to think she has a guitar with only four strings. We have a drum kit so she loves to jump on it  and muck around. Last year the school had a music in the park day so me, my dad and some friends from school did three songs well  a band was setting up.

The New Style.

Anklets are the new thing in room 11. A lot of people are wearing them in room 11. They are a bracelet at goes on your ankle! They can be made at off string and wool. It looks very cool if you finger knit it or plate it with colours that go together. You should make them about 20cm long to make them go around your ankle acouple of times!

St Johns Madness

Look out St Johns cedets coming to the rescue!!! We are two experts of St John divison cedets in Nelson our names are Georgia and Ciarna and were going to tell you about St Johns.Were in the green group fo St John.

We start and end the night will drill that is when one of the leader yells out parade and all of the divion lines up in three lines which we come call rancks.Then the leader calls out Parade Parade Shion and then we all are standing at ease and then the leader calls Parade right dress and we look to the our right and put our arm up straight in line with the person beside you shoulder then we go to actensoin then we march up to the frout of the hall.

Every term we try to reseve a badge.We have to learn about the badges and do homework before you reseve our badges. There is three groups at St Johns, there are Green Blue and Gold and these are the groups of ages green is 8 to 11,blue is 11 to 14 and gold is 14 to 18. You get your Grand priour after get six very important badges!

Very third or forth night of St Johns we learn a bit of first aid. We remember Danger, Respond, Air way Breathing C.P.R,  that stands for Dr ABCs. We learn how to fix broken bones bleeding nosees and more.


Every year in June we have competitons at Tea Pot Valley. It includes Blenheim,Richmond,Motowekea and there are more that we cant remember.

Nothing stops a Weetbix Kid!

 On the 4 of March the Nelson Weet-bix tryathalon took place. Me and my family got up at 6:30 by by noisy alarm! Of course Ashley and I had weet-bix for breakfast. When the whistle went to go I started running as fast as I can into the water, water was SPLASHING into my face. Me, Olivia, Anna and Julia were leading the swim. I was trying to swim but went Olivia was kicking all the water was going into my face! Finally  I got to the end of the swim I was trying to run fast but it was hard because my legs were so tired for swimming. When I got to my bike I started peddling as fast as I could. I was parsing a lot of people and a lot of people were parsing me! When I got of my bike to start running my legs were wobbly. My hreat was bumping so SPEEDING fast! When I got close to the finish line I started to run like a SPEEDING rocket. I ran throw the finish line and got my meddle and a cold drink of water and went to see my family!  It was a great day!!!
